Supporting OT-IT integration

IT and OT are becoming ever more closely linked and a goal of the Eclipse Arrowhead project is to enable efficient integration of legacy systems into dynamic System of Systems solutions.

Industrial production systems include information sources such as sensors and production control systems that are connected via industrial communication systems. Although legacy adaptors can transfer production information to the Eclipse Arrowhead system, developing these adaptors is time consuming. The latest clip on the Eclipse Arrowhead Youtube channel illustrates how the process can be automated. David Ågren, Hans Forsberg (BnearIT), Mario Thron (IFAK) and Cristina Paniagua (LTU) present a demonstration of a management application that includes an engineering tool for legacy adaptors, a consumer interface generator and an Arrowhead test tool.
